Yosh Gala

Dear LS Lacrosse Family,   Happy New Year, and thanks so much for your support of Ando’s Family Fund.  As of 12/31, we reached the halfway point of our goal of $500,000. Below are some details regarding our next steps for our plan to ensure a healthy and stable future for all four of Ando’s children.  The need is urgent, and there are several different ways that you can help.  First, consider donating to Ando’s GoFundMe page: GoFundMe Link is here.  If you’ve already donated, please consider donating a second time.  Larger donations that you’d prefer to submit offline via check can be made out to the Ando Family Fund and sent  c/o Kevin Rossley, Lincoln-Sudbury Regional HS, 390 Lincoln Rd, Sudbury, MA 01776  Second, please make plans to attend our Gala Fundraiser and Silent Auction on 3/14/20 at Charter Oaks CC.  Tickets will be $150 per person, and there will be a vast array of unique auction items, including vacation packages and sporting event tickets, available to bid on.  Only 300 tickets will be available; this event will sell out.   Finally, we have an apparel/gear sale with shirts and other items commemorating Ando.  The link to purchase Ando's Appreciation Apparel is here.  Purchase Auction Gala tickets using this link. Ando was a paragon of our program’s values of hard work and respect- he embodied them, he taught them, and he inspired them. He was not only meticulous in his preparation, but his deep devotion to LS athletes manifested in myriad ways- in trips to the hospital with injured players, in early mornings before school opening the gym for training sessions, in visits to college games to watch alumni play. Occasionally he might have shown up at a player’s house in search of unreturned equipment; indeed, his love for the program knew no boundaries. Though Ando was a collegiate football player, he fell in love with lacrosse when he took the Athletic Trainer position at LS, and, in the 32 years since then, he became an institution and an icon. From his days working at the Peak Lacrosse camps in the 90s, he quickly connected with many of the game’s top coaches and even trained the [...]
