Dear LS Lacrosse Family, Happy New Year, and thanks so much for your support of Ando’s Family Fund. As of 12/31, we reached the halfway point of our goal of $500,000. Below are some details regarding our next steps for our plan to ensure a healthy and stable future for all four of Ando’s children. The need is urgent, and there are several different ways that you can help. First, consider donating to Ando’s GoFundMe page: GoFundMe Link is here. If you’ve already donated, please consider donating a second time. Larger donations that you’d prefer to submit offline via check can be made out to the Ando Family Fund and sent c/o Kevin Rossley, Lincoln-Sudbury Regional HS, 390 Lincoln Rd, Sudbury, MA 01776 Second, please make plans to attend our Gala Fundraiser and Silent Auction on 3/14/20 at Charter Oaks CC. Tickets will be $150 per person, and there will be a vast array of unique auction items, including vacation packages and sporting event tickets, available to bid on. Only 300 tickets will be available; this event will sell out. Finally, we have an apparel/gear sale with shirts and other items commemorating Ando. Once Again, Thanks Yosh!
We of the Lincoln-Sudbury Lacrosse community wish to express our deepest condolences to the family of Yoshitaka Ando, our beloved trainer since 1987. We also wish to express our gratitude for his unrivaled service to our program and its athletes for the past 32 years. In addition to keeping our players healthy, strong and in the game, he was an expert coach and strategist on the field and a true wizard off of it, stringing sticks and nets, dispensing advice and wisdom, and, always, reveling in the shared joy of the LS lacrosse experience. Ando was a paragon of our program’s values of hard work and respect- he embodied them, he taught them, and he inspired them. He was not only meticulous in his preparation, but his deep devotion to LS athletes manifested in myriad ways- in trips to the hospital with injured players, in early mornings before school opening the gym for training sessions, in visits to college games to watch alumni play. Occasionally he might have shown up at a player’s house in search of unreturned equipment; indeed, his love for the program knew no boundaries. Though Ando was a collegiate football player, he fell in love with lacrosse when he took the Athletic Trainer position at LS, and, in the 32 years since then, he became an institution and an icon. Happy 50th Birthday LS Lacrosse
We are excited and will be celebrating on May, 15th 2022 at The Thoreau Club (275 Forest Ridge Rd, Concord, MA 01742). We have several things planned throughout this year for a memorable event. We will also be raising money for several needs our team has now and in the future. LS Lacrosse has been instrumental in all of our lives. Both Andy and I would love to share the joy that we've had with you all and are looking forward to seeing you at the event. We've all (coaches, players, parents and community) been fortunate to be a part of it here in Sudbury and we have one chance to celebrate the first 50 years! The May 15th event will include: 10am - 12pm (2) separate Alumni games (Older vs Older & Younger vs Younger) at Lincoln-Sudbury. We will have sign ups for any gear needs you may have too. Ties and Bow Ties Fundraiser
We are excited to announce custom LS Lacrosse ties and bow ties. There are two designs for the ties and one design for the bow ties. The stripe version is called “stripe design” and the version with L-S and sticks is called “all over design”. The “all over design” is the version for the bow ties. Ties are available in adult and youth. The bow ties will be available in pre-tied or regular non-tied. All are silk, fine quality ties. All proceeds will go towards the program.
